Born from the passion of the aristocracy of the early nineteenth century sea-bathingfrom England and the discovery of its site by artists from 1825, the resort ofTrouville project under the Second Empire of s' expand on the undeveloped land ofDosville on the opposite bank of the Touques. These were acquired in 1859 by Dr.Olliffe who founded his own station, ending the dreams of extending Trouville.Combining his company the Duc de Morny, a leader of a powerful group of bankersin Paris, he gave birth to a project with a double agenda: to create a resort that is also equipped with a commercial hub 'port and railway infrastructure. They entrusted the development of the future city space to the Parisian architect FrancisDesle Breney.
